Photos of the cultivar Akai Ryu, which means Red Dragon in Japanese. The Akai Ryu cultivar has normal growth habit and flower morphology, but the leaf petiole, blade and trap are all dark maroon to burgundy in color when exposed to full light. Green coloration shows in the plant during the winter.
