So Leah and I finally made the move to Ashland, Oregon. Since getting settled in, I've got my new greenhouse set up! I'm very excited about that. It gives me plenty of room to expand my collection.
Unfortunately I kept most of my collection inside under fluorescent lights this spring in order to try to keep them cleaner so I could gather tissue for tissue culture. When we arrived here in Ashland, I planned to just put them out in the greenhouse and let them acclimate. I had no idea that the temperatures would be over 100°F the week we got here. Between the heat and the intense sun that they weren't used to, most of them burned to a crisp!
The plants in these photos were either outside when we were living in Boulder, have recovered or, for one reason or another, weren't affected as badly by making the move from fluorescent lights to direct sunlight.

Well I went ahead & finally posted some pics of our plants. We have not taken near enough pictures. I will definately take more time this year taking pictures.
Just want to mention that the pics taken of various CPs out in the wild are of non-native plants. It is fun to find these plants out there; but, they really do not belong.
Anyway; I hope you enjoy the pics.

I was looking over my plants yesterday morning and I saw that my Dionaea 'Jaws' plant had made a pretty unusual catch.

I've never seen two bugs caught at the same time before. Not a surprise that it was the ever present Boxelder bugs, but I still thought it was pretty awesome and that I should share a photo of it.

After a few hours of cleaning and sorting the plants...today I finaly planted the tiny dionaeas I bought from VFT shop. There was a moment when I realy hated those plants...after planting the 100th plant I even lost the count.
But when all the work was done I was so pleased to see all those babies together :-) I'm already very impatient to see what kind of VFTs I planted...

So...my passion for venus flytraps started a couple of years ago when I saw a big and beautiful VFT at a friends house. I went home and started to search on the net about this plants...The next day I went to a local garden centre and bought three typicals, repotted them and waited to see if they would survive. In about a week new traps started to grow and I was happy like a child :-)))
My only problem was that in my country the dionaea typical is the only type you can get...thank god for the internet. I found the VFT Shop and Chris Klein site and started to buy different clones, then I found some forums and started to swap plants...it's fun to get in touch with people that have the same passion and to exchange experineceswith them.
Well last sunday was repotting day for my plant. Thei're all stil dormant and without their original colouration. I can't wait warmer days when the dormancy will finish and the plants will develope bigger leaves and traps and thir amazing colouration.
